Black Belt Baddass, Sasha Prendes's father was a martial arts pro, and Sasha followed in his footsteps for a time, ultimately winning gold at the AAU National Black championship in Fort Lauderdale when she was 14 years old. “But every time I veered away from music in some way, it always pulled me back like my Northern Star,” she says. “I am so blessed and grateful that I did follow that star.”

Black Belt Baddass, el padre de Sasha Prendes era un profesional de las artes marciales, y Sasha siguió sus pasos durante un tiempo, y finalmente gang el oro en el campeonato nacional negro de la AAU en Fort Lauderdale cuando tenía 14 años. “Pero cada vez que me alejaba de la música de alguna manera, siempre me hacía retroceder como mi Estrella del Norte”, dice. “Estoy tan bendecida y agradecida de haber seguido a esa estrella”.
